WCNY- More than 100,000 of our friends and family overdose and die every year. After Henry Brigham’s son Devin died of an overdose, Henry founded Devin’s Rec Room for people to benefit from movement and community in sustaining recovery.

WSYR-TV) — Henry Brigham lost his son, Devin, to a heroin overdose at the beginning of the opioid crisis in 2001. To honor his son’s memory, Henry founded Devin’s Rec Room which is Central New York’s first Sober Active Community Center.
This Sunday, Devin’s Rec Room is hosting its inaugural “Never Walk Alone” Walk for Recovery. The benefit walk aims to bring attention to the societal stigma of Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health Issues. The event encourages participants to bring their leashed pet to walk with them to celebrate the importance of pets in the lives of people in post-treatment.
